Homecoming... Louisiana Style...

It’s been a little while since I’ve picked up my camera, but I’m ready to shake off the dust and get back in the saddle. This time, our adventure took us to Louisiana for Southside High School’s Homecoming. My son met the sweetest little lady, and of course we had to make the trip so he could take her to her Homecoming dance. Little did she know we had Friday off, and Lucas is a huge fan of surprising her, so we took off a little early to surprise her with him picking her up from school.

Ya’ll when I say we have completely fallen in love with this family, I mean it. Every time we get to spend time with them, our time is full of laughs and stories; this weekend was no different. Her mom makes an amazing sausage Gumbo, and really good potato salad. We found a little Mexican restaurant whiile the kids were eating that served Street Corn, and I got her to try it. Now wasn’t as good as what we can get here, but it was decent, so I promised her we’d make some when they come this way. That being said we are SO excited to be welcoming them to San Antonio this week for Lucas’s homecoming. It’s our turn to show them some Texas hospitality.

We went for a street photography shoot in downtown Lafayette, and the area did not disappoint. Between the charm of the downtown streets, and these two being absolutley adorable together, I may have gotten slightly carried away. But once you see how sweet these two are for yourselves, you’ll completley understand.

Ok, so now comes the hard part of picking out what to show off. Not sure how in the world I’m going to narrow it down!

So, here are just SOME of my favorites from Saturday’s session. And YES, consider this your fair warning, because there will be more adorableness from these two next week!

** It feels so great to be behind the camera again!
